Starting the first leg of our journey! We will miss our friends and families but we will come back with new friends who feel like family! We made it to the airport :) Everyone is in good spirits. Andrew is reading Black Boy and Hannah told him she's reading it too for American Studies. Abhishek is ready to take pictures with his fancy Nikon camera. Samantha's luggage has a moody wheel so she'll have to roll it just right, but it's better than buying a $200 suitcase from the airport because Jayne, Denise and I all know you can get one from Marshall's for $70. Jayne volunteered to help Sam with her carry on because, you know, she's just that nice. :) Anyway, enjoy the video! Love to all our family and friends!

Day 6: Mangala, Spain and Gibraltar, UK
This morning we visited the rock of Gibraltar which is part of the United Kingdom. We could still pay in Euros because Brexit hasn't happened just yet. We saw some monkeys (who were really cute until they tried to steal my bag...shout out to Mrs. Teulings who scared him away with her mom/teacher voice). We also saw St. Michael's cave and then rode the cable car to the top of the rock. We saw the coastline of Morocco. Africa is so close to Europe! Our tour guide, Benito, says that all religions and ethnicities co-exist in harmony in Gibraltar. The rest of the world should follow their lead! Benito: Cable car ride to the top of the rock... In the evening, we went out for churros. But we got more than we bargained for...
Day 4: Algarve region
In the morning, the group went to see an important house and then to a fisherman village that are typical to the Algarve region. In the afternoon, we took a boat across a small sound and enjoyed time on the beach. Afterwards, we came back to our villas and some students played volleyball and some students sunbathed. (FYI if you eat too much octopus salad and get food poisoning the ginger ale in Europe is made with REAL ginger) And after all our fun, we celebrated Taylor's birthday!! Shout out to Sabrina and Monay for buying her a cake and an ice cream log because they wanted Taylor to have a superb birthday!!
